For the second week running Southend High's star sporting all-rounder Adam Hickey has enjoyed major athletics success - this time on the international stage.
The previous week he captured the English Schools intermediate boys' 3000m title at Gateshead International Stadium.
That win qualified him to compete for England, along with runner-up Robert Pickering, in the SIAB (Schools International Board Meeting) at Chelmsford's Melbourne Park.
England were up against Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales in this Hickey's first track international and he triumphed again at 3,000m distance in a time of 8 mins. 36.21 secs.
Once again Pickering provided his main opposition , finishing in 8.38.5, as England chalked up maximum points.
