Race-walking twins Dominic and Daniel King are hoping to cap a fantastic season by impressing on the international scene.
Seasons of success - Dominic King (left) and his twin brother Daniel.
The Colchester Harriers duo, from Great Horkesley, have been picked to represent the Great British under-23 squad in Manchester this weekend against competition from Italy and Germany.
It will be the last race-walking event for the pair, who have continued to push each other all the way for honours this year.
And, while Daniel may have had the better of things early on in the season by claiming the national ten-kilometre and 20-km events, Dominic has had the upper hand in the closing stages of the campaign.
Most recently, Dominic stormed to victory at the Norwich Union Olympic Trials and AAA Championships in Manchester and set a new championship record of 20 minutes and 11.35 seconds along the way in the 5,000 metres event.
Dominic said: "I was really pleased with my personal best time, seeing as the previous record was 20.28.
"I went out all guns blazing and perhaps went off a bit too quickly at the start.
"I knew that I was on course for a record, even though I was getting slightly slower at the end."
The 6,000-strong crowd spurred Dominic on to victory, and also got behind his brother Daniel who finished second in 20m 47.19.
