A woman who is eight and a half months pregnant had a miraculous escape after being involved in a car crash.
The 28-year-old was the passenger when her car, being driven by her husband, 27, was involved in a collision with a van.
The crash happened at 10.30am on Friday in St John's Road, Clacton, near to the junction with Earl Hall Drive.
The woman suffered concussion, while her husband was taken by ambulance to Colchester General Hospital with whiplash injuries.
He was later discharged and both were due at Clacton Hospital yesterday for a check-up on the baby.
The couple, of Clacton, were travelling towards Colchester when their black Renault Clio car was involved in a collision with a white Iveco panel van.
