Billericay recorded an emphatic seven wicket triumph at lowly Horndon on Saturday, thanks to a fine bowling display from Adam Samoulle.
Following a rain disrupted start, Samoulle grabbed five wickets for just eight runs - including a hat-trick - to help dismiss Horndon for a pitiful 81.
And Billericay had little trouble reaching the required total - scoring the necessary 82 for the loss of three wickets - with Nathan Batson top scoring on 22.
The visitors picked up a healthy 18 points for their efforts to consolidate their mid-table position but secretary Anne Batson admitted she was surprised by the home-side's decision to bat first.
