Andy Matthews took a stroll through Basildon town centre with Frank, his three-year-old pet watching the world pass by from his high vantage point.
Andy said: "I'm used to being stared at by shoppers.
"I used to be an punk with various piercings and spiky hair.
"I take Frank out quite a lot when the weather is good and its warm.
"Iguanas need vitamin D from the sun to help their digestion."
Andy, 48, from Honeypot Lane, Basildon, has two iguanas as pets.
