Girls from Basildon's South Essex Gym Club travelled to Canterbury in Kent for a rhythmic competition.

In the under-8 novice section Abigail Ball, competing in her first rhythmic competition, performed excellently to finish in second place.
Lucy Staab performed well to come seventh. Emily Pye, also making her rhythmic competition debut was 12th.
In the U10 novice section Ellie Smith finished 11th. Sian Parker and Holly Adams were sixth and eighth in the U12 novice section.
