Southend United manager Steve Tilson today expressed his delight at FIFA's decision to reverse their controversial "six substitutions" policy.
The game's governing body had originally planned to enforce the highly criticised innovation, but Tilson will now be able to make an unlimited changes to his starting line-up.
He said: "I'll be fielding a different team for each of the halves against East Thurrock and Canvey. It's good news that they've changed this rule and I think it's safe to say common sense has prevailed.
"Any side who had a squad of more than 17 players would have struggled during pre-season under that proposal, but now they are going to be OK."
