Popular football coach Ray Scott's funeral will be held midday next Monday at Southend crematorium.
The 59-year-old passed away on Saturday morning at Maidstone hospital, Kent, after suffering a stroke following a concert at Leeds Castle.
Known to many, both young and old, Scott started his footballing journey as an apprentice with Southend United, before being released by the Roots Hall club.
After leaving Blues he had playing spells with Basildon United and Chelmsford City.
Scott, who lived in Ashurst Avenue, Thorpe Bay, leaves a wife Shelley and son Matt. There will be a wake in the Far Post bar at Roots Hall for close friends and family after the funeral.
