Tributes have been paid to a 15-year-old schoolgirl who died in a motorbike accident in Colchester.
Rebecca Fenton, of Bemerton Gardens in Kirby Cross, was riding as a pillion passenger when the motorbike her father was driving was in collision with a car in Mersea Road, Colchester, on Tuesday evening.
Her father, 40, suffered serious leg injuries in the accident. Staff at the school where Rebecca studied have paid tribute to her.
A spokesman for Tendring Technology and Sixth Form College at Frinton said: "Our prayers are with her family and her friends at this very sad time. It is always tragic when a young person's life is brought to an untimely end.
"We feel this especially, because she was a member of the college and we know of her contribution to the life of the college."
