Wickford's new Angling Superstore enjoyed a successful opening last Saturday, helped by fishing stars Bob Nudd, Gary Bayes, Jim Shelley and Kevin Nash.

The big names from the world of fishing attracted a large number of customers, much to the delight of the shop's mail-order manager, Darren Johnson.
"It was a brilliant day and a great turn out," he said.
"Plenty of people came along and we had many comments from customers praising us and the shop. The weather held up, we had a nice barbecue and it was a good day for us. We cater for all kinds of fishing, game, sea, course and carp. You name it, we do it!"
The superstore, situated in London Road, is open between 8am-6pm every day except Friday when it closes at 7pm.
