Great Wakering Rebels played host to the third and penultimate round of the Essex and London Grand Prix series.
Senior, four team, tournament and individual events were contested, along with under-16 and 12 age group races. The U16 four team event represented the Rebels' best chance of success, but they were narrowly pipped to the post by East London 43-42.
Both teams now go into the final at Ilford virtually level on aggregate points.
In the senior four team tournament the Rebels raced to third place.
