Labour party chiefs in Southend are to start a round of informal "coffee-style" meetings with local residents at the party's new headquarters in Sutton Road.
The meetings will be hosted by Labour group leader Kevin Robinson and the party's prospective parliamentary candidate, Fred Grindrod.
Mr Robinson said: "Labour's new headquarters in Southend gives us the ideal opportunity to meet up with local residents to discuss both local and national issues in a very informal setting."
Mr Grindrod added: "Labour is determined to prove we are listening to the electorate locally on the issues which affect them.
"As prospective parliamentary candidate, I am particularly keen to meet with residents to demonstrate how Labour can address their issues both locally and nationally."
