A new exhibition has been launched in Southend, providing a glimpse into the town as seen by the Victorians.
The Very Image, at the Central Museum in Victoria Avenue, offers an introduction to each of the 15 historic photographic collections in the museum.
The collections range from Victorian work to images from the 1960s and 1970s.
The museum is open Tuesdays to Saturdays from 10am to 5pm and admission to the exhibition is free.
