Colchester United's players will dust off their boots and embark on their first pre-season friendly tonight at Braintree Town.
The U's are intending to send a full-strength squad to take on the Ryman League premier division side (kick-off 7.45pm).
It will see the first outing for summer signings Aidan Davison, Kevin Watson and youngster George Elokobi.
New-boy Stephen Hunt will not be in the side after suffering a slight knee injury during training.
This will be the first game where the U's have to contend with the laws regarding substitutes, with only a maximum of six being allowed over the course of the 90 minutes.
