A lifelong sports fan will be gunning for Olympic glory this year - despite having been left paralysed by a devastating road accident four years ago.
Jonathon Coggan, 21, from Orchid Way in South Woodham Ferrers, is celebrating after making it into the British paralympics team to play wheelchair rugby.
Coggan broke his neck in a car crash in 2000, which resulted in paralysis from his chest down and also affected his arms and hands.
He said: "It is brilliant that I have been chosen to represent Great Britain - I have always been very into sports and played a lot of football before the accident. I train five times a week so that means I do not have time for much else. I love it though and hope I do everyone proud in Greece."
