Faruk Kamali, who owns Marco Polo restaurant in Wickford, is attempting to break the Guinness Book of Records at his new restaurant in London.

He is to make a giant pot of vegetable curry on July 20 to mark the opening of Bengal Quay in Canary Wharf.

Hell's Kitchen winner Jennifer Ellison will also be there to add her culinary expertise to the cooking.
