Despite frequent showers, hundreds of teenagers still enjoyed Braintree's first youth festival.
The Braintree Youth Festival was held at Weaver's Park in Bocking End. Highlights included a skating competition, local bands performing and various DJ performances.
There was also a football tournament, sumo wresting, jousting, wall-climbing and other games.
The event organised by Essex County Council was designed to be a youth festival for the entire district.
