Teachers at a coastal school have been saying goodbye to colleagues and pupils.

Mike Watson, 58, head of the 1,600-pupil Tendring Technology College, is taking early retirement after 20 years.

But the end of the summer term also sees the departure of many more senior teachers.

Retiring principal Mr Watson, 58, said: "We have had some tremendous teachers," and went on to praise the quality of the young staff as "excellent."
