Rain clouds were kept at bay but the visitors - all 24,000 of them - did nothing but pour in through the gates for the 93rd Tendring Show on Saturday.
Crowds - Enjoying the Tendring Show
Fears that bad weather would keep the crowds away were unfounded for the one-day agricultural show at Lawford House Park, near Manningtree, and organisers said they were astounded at the final count of heads after the day went entirely without a hitch.
There were no reported traffic problems, despite a multitude of motorists making their way to the showground, and families in their thousands enjoyed a traditional day out.
This year's show president, Mistley builder Bill Rose, said: "It's been a fantastic day. The weather was kind to us and it was great to see so many people have a lovely time."
