Billericay Town boss Justin Edinburgh has made five new signings as he continues to build up a squad to hopefully make an immediate challenge on the Ryman Premier crown when the 2004/05 season gets underway.
Best known of the new arrivals is Hendon's experienced central midfield man Steve Forbes. Town know all about his capabilities after he scored twice against them in the League match at Claremont Road last season.
Another newcomer, who can play in defence or midfield, is Kieran Gallagher, from Windsor and Eton but previously with Dagenham.
Experienced front runner Neil Cousins is also pledging his immediate future to New Lodge after previously being with Essex rivals Heybridge Swifts and the other two new men are former Leyton Orient youngsters Ross Wareham, who plays up front and had a spell at Thurrock last term, and midfielder Matthew Gain.
Town, who have added full-time players to their squad, have been back in training nearly a week and Edinburgh's number one priority is a new keeper.
He's currently having talks with a couple of possible candidates and expects to be able to make an announcement next week.
