Chelmsford College has become one of the UK's first Investors in People Champions.
The Investors in People Champions programme recognises those employers who have enhanced the performance of their organisation through the way they manage and develop their employees.
Education minister Charles Clarke made the announcement at the recent Skills Strategy - One Year On event.
Mr Clarke said: "The organisations have fully embraced the Investors in People philosophy and, as a result, have successfully realised the potential of their workforce and improved their bottom line and overall performance."
