Hordes of high-flying youngsters will celebrate their achievements from the past year tonight.
The fourth annual Canvey schools awards evening is to take place at the Paddocks, in Long Road, with students from every island school attending.
This year's special guest will be director of the Basic Skills Agency Alan Wells.
Headteacher of the Winter Garden's School, in Hilton Road, Mike Blant said: "It's a really special night. One child from every year at every school wins an award.
"This award is not necessarily for academic achievement, although many are. A child could win an award if they've been particularly helpful to others, for instance, or if they've done a lot of volunteer work."
