A member of Runnymede Swimming Club he took the title in the nine-years age group with a 38.98 seconds sprint in the 50m butterfly.

Henry also took gold in the 50m backstroke at the open gala at Haslemere, Surrey, silver in the 50m and 200m freestyle event and came fifth in the 50m breaststroke.

His medals were among a haul of 10 gold, four silver and one bronze won by the squad from the Thundersley club.

James Craigie, also swimming in the boy's nine-years group, took a hat-trick of silvers in the 50m back, 50m fly and 100m individual medley.
