A teenager has been branded a "pain" by a district judge and banned from areas in the town where he lives
Lewis Allen, 16, of Chelmer Road, Witham, was served with an anti-social behaviour order (Asbo) when he appeared at Colchester Magistrates' Court yesterday.
For three years he is banned from using threatening, abusive or intimidating behaviour towards any person the condition includes the use of insulting words or gestures.
He must also refrain from being threatening or abusive to members of Braintree Council and Essex Police while they are carrying out their duties.
The youth is also banned from entering the Templars estate in Witham for as long as the Asbo lasts.
The court heard the restrictions reflect Allen's offending pattern, and will "minimise alarm, harassment and distress" to the Witham area.
