West Ham manager Alan Pardew is hoping for a quiet time in the transfer market this summer - and he believes the squad he has assembled is ready to deliver a promotion push.

The Upton Park chief hit out at claims that the club was in financial trouble and denied that there were plans to sell off star names.
And he dismissed reports that Marlon Harewood, David Connolly and Bobby Zamora were set to leave.
"There's been speculation but that's all it is," said Pardew. "I don't anticipate any rush of activity.
"I've already turned down bids of more than £1.5m for one player and we have had other bids that I've turned down.
"I don't have to accept a bid if I don't feel it's right, and the bids have come for players who I feel have a great future."
