Tendring's water is right up there with the very best and that's official.
Figures published by the Drinking Water Inspectorate have shown that Tendring Hundred Water has achieved the highest level of water quality compliance.
It has 100 per cent of analytical results meeting the strict regulatory standards.
Of 4,048 tests carried out across the region during 2003, all met stringent national standards and Tendring Hundred Water was one of only two companies to achieve full compliance.
The overall figure for England and Wales was 99.88 per cent compliance, putting tap water quality nationally at an all-time high.
The tests are carried out on samples taken from water treatment works, service reservoirs and customers' taps.
