Rail company One has become the last operator in the East of England to ban smoking on all its services this week.
One, which took over the First Great Eastern franchise earlier this year, will outlaw smoking on its mainline services between London Liverpool Street, Chelmsford, Ipswich and Norwich from September 6.
The company has already banned smoking on all of its Great Eastern Metro services, meaning all of its services will now be completely non-smoking.
A One spokesman said: "The majority of customers support a non-smoking railway."
