A train driver from Clacton who was hit by a train remains in a stable condition in hospital.
Adrian Harris, 40, received multiple injuries in the accident, which occurred between two depots at Ilford and Seven Kings on the outskirts of London.
He was struck by a train which is believed to have been travelling at about 30 to 40mph as he walked along the tracks at the end of his shift.
Mr Harris, who lives in Clacton with his partner Kay and young daughter Ellie, was treated at the scene for several hours before he could be taken to the Royal London Hospital at Whitechapel by ambulance.
