a braintree school has been successful in its bid for specialist status. Tabor High School has achieved status as a specialist science school which will bring in thousands of pounds of extra funding for developing the school. The £50,000 bid was submitted in October after pupils, teachers, Governors and parents spent around two years raising £20,000 themselves and a Government grant secured the remaining cash. The new status will also benefit the surrounding community as well as pupils and staff.
