KEMAL Izzet netted a last gasp equaliser to earn Colchester a valuable point from this Layer Road clash with ten-man Tranmere Rovers.

Izzet got his head to an 87th minute shot from Thomas Pinault to snatch a richly deserved point.

Tranmere's leading scorer Eugene Dadi grabbed the lead against the run of play for the visitors with another great header 27 minutes into the game.

In a game littered with yellow cards, Rovers had their captain Micky Mellon sent-off just before half-time for two bookable offences.
