Must do better . . . that's the message for Grays and Thurrock as they continue their relentless fight for Ryman Premier points tomorrow afternoon.
With champions elect Canvey moving 19 points clear at the top on Tuesday night, it's increasingly looking as though the rest are playing for runners-up spot.
But, with Carshalton still going well in second spot, both Grays and Thurrock know that they need to improve on last week's performances if they are to be in the running.
Coincidentally, the Hitchin side who ended Grays unbeaten league run which stretched back to October are this weekend's visitors to Thurrock.
Colin McBride's men at least had the excuse of being without star goal men Cliff Akurang and Tresor Kandol for last week's goalless home draw with Basingstoke.
