Thorpe Bay beach's very own Wombles are all set to scour the sand and keep it clear of litter.

Workers at the Sealife Centre on Eastern Esplanade have taken the beach under their collective flipper as part of the Marine Conservation Society's (MCS) Adopt A Beach Scheme.
The centre is now looking for volunteers for its first collection tomorrow.
Volunteers are asked to congregate at 11am at the beach between Thorpe Hall Avenue and St Augustine's Avenue.
