Campaigning residents living close to a seaside holiday park have won a partial battle in their bid to reduce noise disturbance from the site.
They turned out yesterday to oppose a public entertainment licence being granted to the Naze Marine in Hall Lane, Walton.
And although Tendring councillors approved the licence for the Armada and Ocean Bars, they reduced the hours that it could operate.
Great British Holiday Parks wanted it to run from noon to 1am on Mondays to Saturdays and from 2.30pm to 12.30am on Sundays.
But the committee gave the go-ahead for noon to midnight on Monday to Thursday and Sundays, and from noon to 12.30am on Fridays and Saturdays.
