Former England soccer international and Sky Sports pundit Tony Cottee was in Clacton yesterday to help set up a star-studded charity match.
Funds from the game at the Rush Green Bowl on April 15 will be split between two-year-old Ellie Perryman, who suffers from a rare hereditary condition, and Clacton Town's youth section.
Ellie's family are trying to get her to the Peto Institute for specialist treatment.
Match organiser Andy Clark, chairman of the Seasiders' youth section, said it will involve West Ham's team of 1986 which achieved the club's highest ever placing of third in the first division.
Among those turning out are Alvin Martin, Frank McAvennie, Tony Gale, Steve Potts, Mark Ward, Alan Dickens and Tony Cottee himself.
The former West Ham, Everton and Leicester City striker was in town to check out facilities at the Bowl.
