Youths were seen causing "mayhem" in mid-Essex while they enjoyed a day off school, throwing snowballs and causing disruption and damage.
About 20 youths were seen throwing snowballs at each other in Beadle Close, Humber Road, Spinks Lane and Wulvesford, Witham, at about 2.15pm on Thursday.
A spokesman for Braintree police said: "They were seen running in and out of cars, throwing snowballs at vehicles and causing general mayhem."
In Braintree, youths were seen on the top floor of the multi-storey car park in George Yard Shopping Centre, throwing snowballs at cars at 4.30pm.
