New manager Tony Cross is shortly to have a new striker on the books of Great Wakering Rovers.
The former Billericay Town reserve boss has already brought in five new players since his arrival three weeks ago.
But the total departing has grown to six following Dan Trenkel's move to Dr Martens League Premier strugglers Chelmsford City.
And Cross said last night: "I do have a new striker lined-up, but he won't arrive in time for tomorrow's game at Barton Rovers.
"It's a question of dotting the I's and crossing the T's and hopefully I'll be able to say a bit more next week."
Rovers are currently third from bottom in the table, but a run of just one defeat in five league games has dragged more teams into the relegation mire.
Cross said: "It's a game where we need to get something."
