The latest batch of Essex Eels replica shirts are becoming the latest must-have item for sports fans all over the world.
With the first set of Eels merchandise available at online rugby league store www.fortytwenty.co.uk selling faster than London Broncos Superleague stock, secretary Paul Savin is delighted with the outcome.
"I think the National League Three news last week really helped and people could see the kit worn at the Birmingham launch by Alex Raymond so they knew exactly what it was like," said Savin.
"Giovanni Cinque, who runs fortytwenty has been a great supporter of the club and the sales have benefitted him so good on him."
There are hopes of similar success from the launch of an exclusive limited edition range of First Data Group-sponsored sweatshirts and T-shirts, and with numbers limited to just 50 for each item fans of the Pro-Plumb Eels are urged to move fast.
Meanwhile, after global sales have taken the latest batch of replica shirts from Basildon to Brisbane, another shipment has been ordered from manufacturers Kukri.
Anyone interested in playing for the club, either in the first team or with the A-team, should contact head coach Stuart Hogg on 07759 477824 or come to the next training session at Basildon Rugby Club from 11am on February 7.
