A blind pensioner today blasted yobs whose actions left her guide dog in agony with a paw full of broken glass.
Dolly Allen, 76, of Harvest Road, Canvey, was being led to her doctors by her trusted labrador, Kitty, when they came across a shattered bus shelter outside the Oysterfleet Hotel, in Knightswick Road, Canvey.
The nine-year-old dog had no choice but to walk across the glass and it wasn't long before Dolly noticed her four-legged friend was limping and bleeding.
She said: "I do hope whoever was responsible for smashing up the bus shelter will realise the harm they cause."
Kitty eventually had three shards of glass removed from her paw.
