Runnymede Swimming Club had yet another excellent weekend, this time at the first block of this year's Essex County ASA Age Group Championships, held at Waltham Forest Pool.
The weekend included all the 50m events for various age groups and Runnymede had a record number of medals and now are proud to have two county champions in the club,
Aaron Eveleigh won golds in the boys 14 years fly and Sarah Wright enjoyed similar success in the girls 11-years backstroke.
There were two silver medals - Aaron for boys 14 years freestyle and Georgie Hunt for the girls 11 years fly.
This was followed with five bronze medals -- Georgie Hunt (11years free), Sarah Jarratt (15 years free), Alex Delicata (10 years back), Aaron Eveleigh (14 years back) and George Smith (10 years fly).
This took the total of Runnymede medals to nine.
Coach Paul Eveleigh was extremely pleased with the results saying: "We have made big improvements on our medal tally from last year where we took four medals on the opening weekend to this time where we collected nine. "
