Plans for a new £5.3 million community hospital in mid-Essex will be unveiled to the public next week.
The old St Michael's Hospital in Rayne Road, Braintree, closed in 2001 so the site could be redeveloped for a new community hospital and housing.
Witham, Braintree and Halstead Care Trust will present the three designs it is considering for the healthcare facilities to a public seminar at The Institute, Bocking End, Braintree, next Wednesday, February 4, at 12.30pm.
All three designs incorporate a day hospital, imaging service, in-patient facilities, including 30 beds across two wards, antenatal and post-natal maternity beds, a minor injuries service, minor procedures service and out-patient services.
After the presentation, the plans will be on public display at Braintree Council's offices in Causeway House, Bocking End, until February 20.
