Grants for patients with cancer, to help them meet extra costs they may face because of their illness, are being offered by Macmillan Cancer Relief.
Last year Macmillan helped nearly 400 people in Essex and now people in the county living with cancer, who have experienced financial difficulty, are encouraged to apply for patient grants.
Macmillan's Essex Fundraising Manager, David Forster said, "For many people, a diagnosis of cancer can result in extra expenses, such as transport to hospital, at a time when their income may also be greatly reduced.
"Macmillan Cancer Relief supports people living with cancer by providing grants towards these additional expenses."
