A pub owner has revealed fresh plans for a major development of his business.
Tendring Council has already turned down one set of plans to extend the Royal Oak pub in Main Road, Dovercourt. But now a new scheme has been submitted, and owner Carl Richardson is hoping that this time it will be approved.
He said the total project would cost between £500,000 and £750,000. It would see the creation of ten new rooms at the premises, two fewer than before, and an extension to the rear.
There would also be more parking spaces than before.
Mr Richardson said there was a need for development at the site. "It's a question of space. Basically, it's very cramped and we want to improve the facility."
