Swimming star Louise Gowens has yet to decide whether to compete in this year's Olympic trials.
The former pupil at Rayleigh's FitzWimarc school, who is currently studying at the University of Cincinnati in the USA, is still deliberating her plans for the summer after recently making her international debut.
"My main hope for this season is to become all-American, which means I have to place in the top 16 at the American College Nationals," said 21-year-old Gowens.
"I haven't decided about the Olympic trials yet to be honest. Only two swimmers get chosen for each event and they have to reach a qualifying standard. I will decide closer to the event depending on how I am performing."
