Their prize, if they beat Coventry City in an FA Cup fourth round replay is a fifth-round tie against Nationwide League Division One high-flyers Sheffield United at Bramall Lane on Valentine's Day.
If the U's emerge triumphant against the First Division Sky Blues in next Tuesday's Layer Road replay it will be the seventh time they have been forced to travel, following an earlier FA Cup trip to Accrington Stanley; the Carling Cup journey to Rotherham, plus LDV Vans Trophy ties at Cheltenham, Yeovil, Wycombe and Northampton.
"Once again we'll have to do things the hard way," said U's boss Phil Parkinson. But he stressed the point: "We've got to beat Coventry first before we can even think about meeting Sheffield United."
