A grandmother has put together a book of stories she used to tell her grand-daughter.
Retired social worker Enid Kattell, 74, used to tell stories to her young grand-daughter to relieve the boredom on long car journeys.
Mrs Kattell, of Lynne Close, Kirby, said: "With repeated requests to retell them it was decided to put them on a tape where they continued to be enjoyed as bedtime stories."
Her grand-daughter, Laura Jayne Johnson, is now 15 years old.
Mrs Kattell said: "It seemed a good idea to commit them to print in the hope that other young children will enjoy them just as much."
