Traffic disruptions are expected this week around the A12 with the closure of several slip roads.
Work to install traffic detector loops and provide quieter surfaces on the Chelmsford and Braintree roads will be carried out until Monday.
The first locations to be affected will be the southbound exit slip roads at the A130 and A414 Howe Green Interchange and the B1024 Kelvedon North Interchange, near Braintree.
They will be closed from 10pm today until 6am tomorrow. The next batch will include the A12 northbound exit slip roads at Hatfield Road South, Witham and Galleywood Common, Galleywood.
They will shut from 10pm tomorrow until 6am on Thursday. Finally, the A12 southbound entry slip road at Kelvedon South Interchange will be closed for resurfacing work from 9pm on Friday until 5am Monday.
Julian O'Dell, Highways Agency project manager, said: "The closures are necessary for the resurfacing to be carried out and the safe installation of the traffic detector loops."
