Bids are being invited by Braintree Council for the lease of a former restaurant.
Weaver's Cottage, in South Street, Braintree, is back on the market after the previous owner, who ran Weaver's Bar and Grill gave up the lease in December 2003.
Sue Thurston, surveyor and valuer at Braintree Council, said: "We are accepting sealed bids for either a short-term lease or a long-term lease and are keeping the options flexible."
Offers are welcome from people wishing to continue using the building as a restaurant or bar, although the council is also accepting offers to convert the building into offices or for residential use.
