Respects - Brother Sarfraz Sarwar, Rabbi Mendel Lew and the Rev Carl Stokes Picture: ROBIN WOOSEY V8CLX5
The inter-denominational service saw Southend's Rabbi Mendel Lew standing side-by-side with Muslim leader Brother Sarfraz Sarwar and the Rev Carl Stokes of the Hawkwell Baptist Church.
It was held outside the Mill Hall in Rayleigh and was the first of a series of similar services being held across south Essex for Holocaust Memorial Day tomorrow.
