Canvey's relentless march towards the Ryman Premier title continued unabated as they took their unbeaten league run to 20 games.
Gulls gave skipper Neil Gregory a rest and partnered goal star Lee Boylan with Junior McDougald up front.
The pair responded with a brace each as Jeff King's men stayed 16 points clear of nearest rivals Carshalton, with a game in hand.
Ty Gooden, back in the side after injury, set up McDougald for the 19th-minute opener and was again the provider when Steve Parmenter, who replaced Kennedy, headed the second after 38 minutes.
