A wildlife project in Chelmsford has scooped a £30,000 cash boost.
Young people will get the chance to have their say on future management of land near Chelmer River Valley.
Chelmsford Environment Partnership will use the cash to help expand the scheme to involve more schools in the area.
The money was awarded by the Local Heritage Initiative and Nationwide Building Society for its Youth Engagement Project.
Schools wishing to get involved can call project co-ordinator Justin Watson on (01245) 267691
